More sad news, I'm afraid, but news many of us have long presumed to be true: Manrique Saenz Jimenez died December 16, 1995 in the Hospital San Juan de Dios in San Jose, Costa Rica. I received a copy of the death certificate today. Manrique was the first castmate of ours to pass. In speaking with Steve Mohn, before his own death in 2012, Steve said he thought Manrique had died in the 90s during the AIDS crisis sweeping the planet. The death certificate does not list the cause of death for Manrique.
